Function before aesthetics

A product can look beautiful, photograph well and even be expensive. That does not automatically mean it works well for the dog.

Function is the first filter behind every DIXY’S selection.

We observe how a product behaves in everyday use:

• how it moves on the dog during walking
• where it creates pressure or friction
• how the coat reacts over time
• how stable it remains in real-life use

A harness may appear comfortable while still compressing the front of the body during movement.

A shampoo may leave the coat soft immediately after bathing while drying the skin and coat over time.

A warm garment may retain moisture and create friction if the materials are not suited to the structure of the coat.

For this reason, we do not stop at aesthetics, packaging or first impressions.

A product enters the selection only when it continues to make sense after real use, movement and time.

Because a well-designed product should not draw attention to itself.
It should simply work well in real life.
