The Method

The DIXY’S Criteria

Four criteria.
Every choice passes through them.

01 Function before aesthetics

We observe how a product interacts with movement, pressure, coat condition and everyday use — before considering how it looks in photographs.

A harness should remain stable during walks.
A fabric should not create friction or matting.
A shampoo should not disrupt the skin’s balance for the sake of an immediate cosmetic effect.

02 Materials that don’t lie

We study how materials and fabrics influence breathability, friction, comfort and everyday coat management.

We do not stop at first impressions or marketing claims.
A material may appear soft while creating heat, static or matting over time.

03 Built around the dog’s body

We consider shoulder freedom, pressure distribution, neck sensitivity, natural movement and everyday comfort before a product enters the selection.

A coat should allow natural stride.
A harness should not restrict shoulders or front legs.
An accessory should accompany the dog’s movement, not interfere with its natural structure.

04 Ingredients beyond the label

“SLS-free” or “silicone-free” does not automatically mean gentle.

We analyse formulations by observing skin balance, coat wellbeing and the real function of ingredients — not just the promises written on the packaging.

If a product fails even one of these criteria, it does not enter the selection.

This is The Criteria.
This is DIXY’S.
