During walks in cooler months, many dogs need warmth, but some fabrics can cause friction on the fur or be less breathable.

The Hebrides dog coat uses 100% Harris Tweed® wool, a traditional fabric produced in Scotland known for its natural ability to retain warmth. At the same time, the compact structure of the wool allows the garment to remain breathable during daily use.

To reduce friction on the fur, the inside of the coat is lined with 100% cotton. Cotton is soft and breathable. For this reason, it helps the fabric glide more easily over the dog's coat, a useful feature especially for long-haired breeds.

The coat features two rows of front snap buttons, allowing for an adjustable fit. In addition, the sleeveless construction allows the dog to move freely during the walk. The leg openings are slightly wider. Consequently, the garment is easy to put on and take off.

A decorative martingale is present on the back, which maintains the coat's clean and classic line. This model does not include an opening for a harness, so it is particularly suitable for dogs that use a collar.

Result: a warm and breathable coat that protects from the cold while maintaining coat comfort during walks.

Ideal for

• Small or medium-sized dogs;
• Walks in autumn and winter;
• Long coats where it is useful to reduce fabric friction;
• Dogs that use a collar;

A good dog coat should offer warmth without compromising coat comfort. The Hebrides coat combines Harris Tweed® wool and cotton lining to accompany walks in cooler months.

Curiosity

Harris Tweed® wool is one of the most prized in the world and is produced exclusively on the Outer Hebrides islands of Scotland, which is why we decided to name this garment Hebrides. This wool is still processed today, according to tradition, strictly by hand by the inhabitants of the Hebrides; therefore, fabric from other sites is not considered original.

This wool was originally used by farmers to protect themselves from the severe weather conditions in Scotland and soon became so popular that it became a form of payment. In 1993, the HT Act was established, and today it is a symbol of quality, class, and style.
